They swayed back and forth as husband and wife in a ballroom with twinkling chandeliers overhead. Smiling and giggling and stealing kisses that spoke of the overwhelming love they carried in their hearts for one another in that moment. As their admiring guests watched them from afar with smiles written all over their faces it was so very clear to everyone in the room that this? Ryan + Devan? They are meant for each other.
There was so much beauty and emotion wrapped up in this day as two families joined and became one. Morning showers threatened their outdoor ceremony, but Ryan + Devan remained calm, trusting in the Lord’s goodness and plan for not only this day, but all of the days of their marriage to come. As warm sunshine streamed through the canopy of trees, Ryan + Devan joined hands and recited their vows, pledged their unending love for one another with overwhelming joy in their hearts and unhindered smiles on their faces. For this was the day that the Lord had made and they truly rejoiced and were glad in it.
Ryan + Devan, it was an absolute JOY to have the honor of documenting your wedding day!! Thank you so much for the privilege and thank you for making me love my job even more because of your sweet caring and trusting hearts. You two are simply amazing and I am so thrilled about this marriage of yours. :) I hope you enjoy my favorites that tell the story of your precious day! So much love!! xoxo

As their first act together as husband and wife, Ryan + Devan washed each other’s feet. Jesus washed His disciples’ feet to show them what it means to be a servant leader. He didn’t lead forcefully, He led by serving and loving… and so they adopted that idea and decided to use it as a symbol for what their marriage is going to look like. :)
