Some call it happenstance, some call it fate, but Paul and Lauren know theirs is a story that only God could knit. Lauren had lost touch with a childhood friend, but was reconnected with her years down the road… this rekindled friendship led to another new friendship when she was introduced through the friend to Paul. Lauren instantly found herself connected to this man she barely knew… she admired the way he was always up for an adventure and couldn’t help but note the way he carried himself with strong leadership qualities, a gentle character, and a passion for life that was contagious…
It didn’t take long for Paul, too, to take notice of Lauren’s beauty and whimsical, endearing spirit. The bond they shared grew deeper and deeper and just three months in to their relationship, he told Lauren he knew she was the one he wanted to spend the rest of his life with…
Then just about three months after that, Paul planned a surprise date to Longwood Gardens at Christmastime, where it was beautifully decorated for the season with a soft blanket of snow still on the ground. As the day progressed, they wandered hand in hand through the winter wonderland, enjoying each other’s company. They admired the twinkling lights and beauty of the crystal white snow, but little did Lauren know Paul had one final destination on their walking tour that was sure to top all sights they’d seen that day. As they looped back through the conservatory, Paul led Lauren to the center fountain surrounded in magical twinkly lights. Right there, he got down on one knee, and sure enough, revealed the most beautiful sight of the entire evening as he pulled a diamond ring from his pocket and Lauren said YES to becoming his wife!
Paul + Lauren, I cannot wait for your Farm at Eagles Ridge wedding this fall! In the meantime, I hope you enjoy a few of my favorites from your beautiful spring engagement session! Xo!
