Well it’s Valentine’s Day and I’m sitting here trying to think of words that sum up what this day is all about… L.O.V.E. Although I can’t say I know sooo very much about love, I do know that Valentine’s Day is about so much more than a box of chocolates, a dozen red roses, or the most heartfelt, romantic Hallmark card on the shelf. (Although those things are great too. ;)
Last night I was searching online for some killer quotes about love for this post, but they all seemed… weak. Compared to the magnitude of what this day is all about, every quote seemed to come up short. But then I remembered the powerful words below, and I don’t think there could be anything more fitting…
“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.” – 1 Corinthians 13:4-8
