Having known each other for almost ten years, Josh + Kristina had created countless sweet memories together. Many of which surrounded the place they spent many summers as camp counselors, White Sulphur Springs. While on staff Josh had built a new bridge for one of the trails, even taking the time to engrave their initials in it. Later they shared their first kiss on that very same bridge, and so it was only fitting that this be the place he got down on one knee to propose as well. In the springtime, Kristina happened to be at the Springs for a girl’s weekend with a few of her closest girlfriends while Josh was supposedly away at a friend’s wedding in Iowa. One evening, the girls found an excuse to get Kristina near the bridge, casually bringing her attention to the twinkle lights, candles, and red rose petals adorning it. But what caught her attention most of all was Josh standing on it, confidently smiling back at her. A COMPLETE surprise, she ran to the man she loved whole-heartedly and met him on the bridge, accepting his proposal to be his wife. He grabbed her hand and they ran up a hill to watch a fireworks show arm in arm, drink champagne and celebrate with friends, then later, end the evening, just the two of them, on a dock covered in rose petals and candles overlooking the quiet pond and valley and dreaming of their futures together. Forever. As husband and wife.
Josh + Kristina! I hope you know how much I adore you two! What fun it was exploring White Sulphur Springs together and getting to hear more of your sweet love story. It was an honor to capture your love in such a meaningful setting and I’m so grateful for your trust (as well as your willingness to FREEZE for the sake of pretty pictures! ;). I can’t wait to celebrate with you as you become Mr. & Mrs. there this fall! Enjoy a few of my favorites from our time together! Xoxo!
