WORKSHOPS

Jon | Senior

Portraits

October 24, 2012

Up until Sunday, I would have considered myself a country girl. I love me some cowgirl boots, I sing along when I’m driving and Taylor Swift comes on the radio, and there’s corn in my backyard. However, I was definitely in for some legit farm life culture shock during Jon’s senior session when I found myself crawling under electric fences, getting licked by cows, and using a massive tractor and Combine as props.

Jon was raised in a family where high priority is placed on faith in God, and a strong work ethic, and he exemplifies this. While so many high school seniors would be complaining about heading out to the fields to help with harvest the second they get home from school, Jon looks forward to it. So much so, that once Jon graduates, he plans to continue working on the farm. It is so clear that he loves what he does.

The Stauffer family was so kind and welcoming to invite me to their home to photograph Jon’s senior pictures. In fact, every picture below was shot on their beautiful property. So awesome. Enjoy some of my favorites!!
