This man. Tough, yet tender. Strong, yet loving. Growing up, my mom would always tell me and my sisters that she hopes we marry someone like our daddy someday. As I’ve grown, I’ve learned more and more how true that statement is. If you looked up “Man of God” in the dictionary, I’m pretty sure his picture would be right beside it. He is encouraging, comforting, patient, understanding, hardworking and devoted.
I hate to break it to you, but you don’t have the best mom in the world… I do. ;) She is beauty in every sense of the word. She is love. And patience. And joy. The most selfless person I’ve ever met and ever will, with a true servant’s heart. She is my cheerleader. She’s everything I hope to be in a mother someday.
The firstborn of the family, Emily has paved the way and set the bar high in doing so. And I couldn’t be more grateful. Although she’s away at college, she still remains to be one of my #1 fans. She’s always a shoe-in to like my Facebook statuses (making me feel way cooler than I really am), and every time, without fail, just before I hang up on the phone with her, she’ll ask how she can be praying for me. On top of that, she’s engaged, and will be marrying a wonderful guy, Hudson, in June. We couldn’t be more excited about it! And no, I’m not photographing the wedding… I want to really enjoy it, people! ;)
Elly. She is sunshine. And happiness. And a southern belle. She’s everything country. She’s joy and kindness. She thinks highly of every person she meets, no matter their circumstance. She loves everyone, and everyone loves her. She radiates Jesus’ love in everything she does.
Sweet Coleman, the little man. Although, he’s now taller than me, so maybe not quite the little man anymore! He’s been my buddy from day one (May 6, 1998!). He is a man after God, constantly pushing me to think about things more deeply, and consistently impressing me with his spiritual maturity. Infact, I used to cry when we were little because it wasn’t fair that some random girl would get to marry him someday… I wanted to! ;) But really, his future wife will be so blessed to be loved by him.
