She was the cute curly haired freshman girl on campus, he, the senior guy that made her weak in the knees just standing in his presence. They both had eyes for each other all year, but never hinted at their affections. It was upon attending the same mission’s trip over spring break to Panama City that Brad saw this girl he admired in an entirely different light. Something occurred he didn’t even think was possible… his heart swelled to admire her even more. Something particular caught his eye about Janae… beyond her striking beauty, it was her gentle servant’s heart, warm personality, and dedicated work ethic that especially drew him in.
It became clear quite quickly after they began dating that this was it. They had found the one whom their soul loved and together, they began dreaming of the future and all that it held.
It was on a crisp November day that they drove to a beautiful mountainous area for an afternoon picnic overlooking a valley of fiery fall foliage and still water below. They’d brought pumpkins along to carve, and both Brad + Janae set to work, standing at opposite ends of a long picnic table planning and perfecting their designs for the moment of truth when they’d reveal their handiwork to one another and vote on who’s design was better. As the golden sun streamed it’s last rays across the valley below, they turned the pumpkins around to display their handiwork. Instantly, the first place prize was obvious… making Brad’s carefully carved “Marry Me?” on the side of the pumpkin the unanimous winner. ;)
Brad + Janae! You two! What a fun couple you are… I’m so grateful to be the one to document this sweet season of your life, and feel so overjoyed and excited for you guys and the things in store this September!! I’m betting it’s going to be an AMAZING day. ;) Let the countdown begin, but in the meantime, enjoy a few of my favorites from your snowy engagement session! Xoxo!
