She was cooking lunch for a few friends on a normal summer day when she was introduced to him. Blond-haired and blue-eyed, Adam was a well-mannered and polite guy that left a good impression on Karis. But it was simply that, and they parted ways that day.

Fast forward to later that fall… Karis was seeking the next steps that God had for her when she agreed to go on a missions trip to Kenya. Months prior to the trip, training began…at the very same college that Adam attended. And wouldn’t you know, at the very first dinner, Adam + Karis found themselves seated across from each other deep in conversation. Little did either of them know at the time all that the Lord had planned for their future…together.

As this new friendship developed, firm and steady, they became certain of their love for each other. They talk now about how quickly it became evident that they needed each other. That maybe it wasn’t so clear at the beginning, but looking back now, it’s easy to see the way God was working in their lives. And when Adam got down on one knee at the top of the historic Absecon Lighthouse, Karis said yes to forever. Serving and loving the Lord together…forever.
