Over the past few months I’ve had the opportunity to make several little road trips down to Baltimore for Showit SHARE Group Meetups! Now what is that you might ask?! Let me explain. ;) Basically, Showit is one of the most amazing, cutting edge website companies in the world. And I can honestly say that that is no exaggeration. Not only do they provide me with a way to design a stunning, 100% custom website — they dream BIG about what creating a community of photographers who have the common goal of sharing our gifts, focusing on serving one another and serving our clients well, and celebrating new photographers could look like.

But it doesn’t stop at just dreaming… because they’re making it happen. From connecting photographers with other professionals in their community locally, to running Showit LIVE, which is free daily online education hosted by different talented photographers and industry leaders nationally — the amazing people behind Showit are always finding new ways to better this industry.

It just so happens that Baltimore is the closest SHARE Group to Lancaster, but to me, it’s SO worth the trip to spend time with other photographers that use Showit and who desire to be involved in this incredible community. I have been so blessed by the people I’ve met through Showit — we’re like a little photographer family! And when you’re building a business? That is HUGE having people that are able to relate and come alongside you to cheer you on. It’s amazing.

Liz + Ryan are some of these people. :) They open their home each month and welcome our SHARE Group in and we just have a blast! Last month when we were all gathered together, they asked me to consider speaking on Showit LIVE. What?! You can imagine the rush of insecurities that came over me as I sat there thinking of all of the industry’s BIGGEST leaders who had been on Showit Live before. Who am I to share?!

Well! Liz + Ryan were so encouraging and helpful in suggesting a topic to share about and before I knew it, I was in the car once more headed to Baltimore! Ahhhhh! One week ago today at this very time I was sitting on the couch with Liz chatting about how I built my business at a young age and how I manage to have CONFIDENCE as a photographer.

What an incredible experience! I was so overwhelmed by all of the love + support from those that watched. Photographers, and my family members/sweet friends who have nothing to do with the industry, but watched anyway! I’m so thankful to those that tuned it! If you missed it, no worries!
