Though they’d known each other since elementary school, it was the hot summer days lifeguarding at the same pool in high school that drew them close. But it wasn’t until college that something sparked between them beyond just a simple friendship… while spending the summer lifeguarding just after finishing their freshman year of college, they made plans to go mini golfing with a mutual friend. But as fate would have it, the friend canceled last minute, so Brad & Rachel went on their own. Brad had his questions if Rachel never even invited the friend in the first place and perhaps schemed the entire “date” on purpose… a running joke to this day. Regardless, even after their date, Rachel remained oblivious that Brad shared the same feelings for her that she did for him. Until, that is, they were reunited again over Thanksgiving break and Brad leaned in slow and kissed her sweetly…

Together ever since, and knowing how much Rachel adores her family, Brad proposed on Christmas morning at her parents’ house through a series of gifts by the glow of the Christmas tree. Answering the easiest question of her life, Rachel said YES through happy tears to the love of her life and spending forevermore by each other’s sides.
