Corbin + Sheila

Wedding

May 29, 2014

Intentional. I think that’s the word that best describes Corbin + Sheila. They’re intentional in every moment, every interaction. From their relationship with each other to their relationships with those they know well, or hardly at all… they truly and genuinely care… deeply… and it shows. They are intentional in making people feel valued. Intentional in their conversation, listening and asking questions that show they care. Intentional about choosing joy and gratitude no matter the situation. Intentional about being present and soaking in each moment. Intentional in honoring the Lord through their marriage.

This precious day was a day filled with intentionality and so much more. It was one of rejoicing… Sheila has the most infectious laugh and Corbin, a bright smile to match it. They brought such joy to their guests through their genuine excitement… I’m not sure I’ve ever seen such a collective group of smiley guests. But I think most of the reason people were so happy is because Corbin + Sheila really do put such a huge priority on honoring others and putting them first. It was such a treat for everyone to finally celebrate THEM!

Corbin + Sheila… you are so loved. What an honor it was to celebrate with you as you became husband and wife. I feel truly blessed by your caring, intentional hearts! Your joy brought me joy and your love for the Lord is inspiring! Thank you for allowing me to document your day… I hope you enjoy a few of my favorites from the sweetest of days! Xoxo!!

The day was held at Historic Shady Lane and OHHH do I love that venue!! It’s absolutely gorgeous!

How pretty is her hair?! Kristen of Unfading Beauty always does such an amazing job…!!

Sheila has the sweetest mama.

So grateful to have had Erin along with me for the day! She spent some time with the guys as they prepped in the morning…

Yup… Sheila wore her mom’s wedding dress!! Amazing, right?! Ahhh love that.

This isn’t my usual style, but there’s something about it I just love as Sheila heads off to see her groom…

The grounds at Historic Shady Lane are amazing… the perfect backdrop for Corbin + Sheila’s first look!

I think they were excited. :)

Oh I love this. Corbin + Sheila built some extra time into the timeline to spend a few moments alone, praying and looking forward to the day ahead together. They also washed each other’s feet as an act of servanthood to each other in their marriage as husband and wife…

Yessss I sure love a good, long veil!! I was so thrilled to work with Mignonette Bridal again!

Ohhhh this is so them. :)

Love this shot of Erin’s!

Pretty girls!!

Sheila’s sister, Kate, did the amazing florals! Love that!

Sheila comes from a family of five girls… four sisters! It made the bridal party such a sweet, close-knit group to have so many of them be sisters!

The cutest!!

Haha! Not sure what’s going on here…

Sheila winked at her mama as she passed her down the aisle and it was the sweetest thing!

Sheila’s dad took some time to talk directly to Corbin before giving his little girl away. It was so special.

MARRIED!!

Loved their relaxed, fun reception…!

Ooooh yeah! Stunning! Loved the fabric draped ceiling and chandeliers!

We snuck outside for a few more pictures before the sun slipped away…

And then returned inside for some more reception fun!

Whoever this is, I think he’s got himself a new profile picture… ;) Ha!!

Awhhhh remember these two?! Martin + Lauren! It’s always the happiest seeing past couples and catching up!! Sheila was a bridesmaid in Lauren’s wedding back in December (before Corbin even proposed), and it was so fun to see them trade roles, this time with Sheila getting to be the bride!!

And a little shout out to my pretty sister and brother in law in the top left corner! Love them :)

Off they go!! Congrats again you two!!
