There are people in this world who’ve accomplished amazing things, persevered through incredible hardships, overcome huge battles, excelled in their work, or achieved great success. And yet, you’d never know it. Why not? Because they’re the type of person that just doesn’t brag. They’re just not boastful, prideful, or flamboyant. And they’d rather hear about YOU than talk about themselves.

You see, my big sister Elly is this way. She always wants to celebrate other’s achievements, instead of bringing glory to herself. So I hope you don’t mind me bragging it up about her today. Because seriously? She deserves it. I could go on and on about her and the light that she is. She’s GIFTED in so many ways beyond athleticism, but today she’ll commit to play volleyball for an incredible program on a full scholarship and I couldn’t be more excited for her and what’s ahead.

Elly, I wish I could be with you celebrating today! You mean so much to me and I’m so thankful to not only have you as my sister, but also as one of my very best friends. I love you so much!
