As I grow older, a common theme has started to emerge in conversation… my future. I’m a planner, so have constantly been asking myself “the five w’s” regarding my future plans.
But something I’ve been challenged with is the fact that I don’t need to “know.” I don’t have to figure out every single WHO, WHAT, WHEN, WHERE, and WHY, of my life right now. All I need to do is cover the first W. I know Who controls my future… the Lord has all of the plans for my life totally figured out, and it’s even better than I could ever ask or imagine. And that? It’s a huge load off my chest and such a relief to just rest in that for now.
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
And so for you Evan, I know you have lots of big decisions to make this year, but I also encourage you to rest in this truth and just enjoy right now. I know that you have incredible things in your future and I can’t wait to see how the Lord uses you to bring glory and honor to Him!
