When Andrew rushed into his first day of classes and saw Abby sitting there, he confidently walked up and sat right down in the seat beside her to introduce himself. Though sparks didn’t exactly fly immediately, Andrew was given a second chance a few months later when they randomly ran into each other on campus. Though interested in Abby, he played it cool and struck up a conversation with her roommate… but Abby shortly joined in and needless to say, the rest is history.
It was a few days before Christmas of 2011 that Andrew showed up at Abby’s house with a Vera Bradley tote bag in hand as a Christmas gift and said “Well are we gonna do this? Are you gonna be my girlfriend already?”
From that point on they were inseparable and knew pretty much within weeks of dating each other that this was it.
It was a normal Saturday (or so Abby thought) at the end of summer that Andrew suggested they go back to one of their favorite lakes nearby to watch the sunset. They arrived early and Andrew skipped rocks as Abby sat on a blanket by the water just enjoying their time together. Later, as the sky grew bold and beautiful and the sun changed to a deep orange glow, Andrew set up his phone to take a self timer picture together to remember the moment. But as Abby stood for the photo, instead of Andrew turning back to “take just one more” this time, he turned back with a ring in his hand and the easiest question she’s ever been asked… “Will you marry me?”
Andrew & Abby! I seriously can’t wait for your Lauxmont Farms wedding next August… it’s going to be so beautiful and I’m so honored to capture it! For now, enjoy a few of my favorites from your engagement session! Xo
