Well it’s a sunshiny Thursday as I sit here and type and I’m realizing I haven’t been a very good blogger lately! Sure I’ve been sharing amazing weddings and sessions, but I haven’t really blogged much about my life, beyond these Insta-Month updates. Personal blogging is SO important to my business because I get to share pieces of my life and who I am, but lately it’s taken a back seat. And I’m realizing that that’s OK! Crazy thought, huh? ;) Sometimes I think we are so hard on ourselves for not doing “it all,” and I think that frame of mind can be dangerous. Because really, there is LIFE to be lived and there will always be more work to get done. Makes me think of the all-too-true quote “Taking time to live life will only inspire your work.” I’m so thankful that for me, “work” is hardly that — and I love every moment I get to invest into growing this business. :) And without getting too Hannah Montana on you, I would venture to say that I really do have the best of both worlds. ;)
As always, a few honorable mentions from this past month…
+ Flying to GEORGIA to shoot my first out of state wedding!!
+ Emailing with my 2013 brides! I loveee hearing all about their wedding day and planning out their timeline with them!! So much excitement!
+ Getting shocked by an electric fence for the sake of an instagram of a horse. Yes… that really happened.
+ Well obviously, the travel bug bit me HARD this month because I also made two mini-trips down to Baltimore!
+ Spring weather, baseball games, and prom visits of my pretty friends!
+ I reached and PASSED my 2013 wedding booking goal! What! So humbling. I set this goal more as a DREAM back in the fall thinking I would never reach it… and here I am. So thankful that God has provided such amazing couples who believe in me and my business and trust me to capture their day. Such an honor and blessing that I will never take for granted.
