From the moment they met, they had each other’s hearts. James couldn’t dismiss the way Jackie shined with her infectious personality and Jackie instantly fell for James’ wittiness and kindness towards every person he interacted with. Well, that and his accent. ;) James is from England and though his job required him to split his time each year spending eight months in the States, then back to England for four, they made it work despite being an ocean apart.

It was while strolling Longwood Gardens, one of Jackie’s favorite childhood spots, that they reached a picturesque lake. James asked Jackie to walk down to the bottom step so he could take her picture. When she turned around to smile back at him, she saw the man of her dreams down on one knee, waiting to ask her to marry him! Needless to say, a smile was written all over her face. :) The rest of the day was filled to the brim with celebration including a surprise party with all of Jackie’s immediate family and a bunch of their friends! The perfect day.
