Casey & Lydia

Wedding

June 26, 2018

I predicted this before the day even arrived: doubling as Casey & Lydia’s friend/wedding photographer ranked as one of the highlights of my summer!!!

You may look at these photos and think wow what a HAPPY bride and groom. And they are. But I think there’s more to it. Together, Casey & Lyd shine the light of Jesus to those around them. It’s unmistakable. Their foundation isn’t on good days or bad days, circumstances, or really beautiful wedding details. It’s built on Jesus’ unchanging love for them. And it flows into every aspect of their life. Living a life rooted in Jesus takes happy times and makes them that much richer because they’re living with a deeper purpose. And it takes hard times and makes them bearable because they know where their identity is found in the Lord and that He never wastes our pain.

I look at these photos and I see so much rejoicing in the Lord’s goodness in blessing these families, friendships, and this brand new marriage. and THAAAT is why I love doing what I do. Such a gift to capture it all and shine a light on what the Lord has done (and will continue to do)!!

Lydia’s one of those friends who’s always said that I’d be the one to shoot her wedding someday, so the fact that I really did (!!!) get to do exactly that was a dream come true. With so many people I love in one place, my cousins in the bridal party, and oh yeah I even got to get on the dance floor… it really was one of the best days ever.

Casey & Lydia, it’s no secret at this point how obsessed I am with you guys. Getting to be a part of this process/have a behind the scenes pass to all the greatest moments has been such an honor. Can’t be said enough. THANK YOU for frolicking through fields, trusting me completeeeely, and letting me be your paparazzi for the day. <3 Love you guys big time!
