They sat next to each other in one of their college classes and a friendship quickly formed. But it wasn’t until four years later that they both realized there’d been something more there all along. She loved the way he always kept her laughing, his warm and friendly demeanor, and compassionate care for just about anyone. And he too found himself admiring Renee for everything she is… genuine, joyful, and fiercely loyal to those lucky enough to be loved by her.

As the years passed and their relationship continued to grow surer and surer, he thoughtfully planned out every detail of their plans to celebrate her birthday. An aquarium visit followed by a romantic dinner at an Italian restaurant in Little Italy was in store, with one special question and some sparkly bling to follow as her gift. ;) But as they strolled through the aquarium before dinner and came to a wall of windows overlooking the harbor, the sunset got the best of him and he proposed right there on the spot.
