She lived in the city and he lived just across the Hudson River in the quaint town of Hoboken. They were introduced by mutual friends, and remained in the same group of close knit friends for nearly two years, spending countless weekends hanging out together and growing close.
But somewhere along the way, something more started to develop between them. Jon started seeing Alicia as not just a friend… but a beautiful, intelligent, and incredibly kind woman he greatly admired. Good thing for Jon, his affections were returned and after some coaxing from their friends and family that had always known they belonged together, Jon & Alicia decided to give this thing a shot.
Needless to say, it quickly became clear in their relationship neither of them were going anywhere. They completed each other in ways they never even imagined possible. Jon & Alicia. It just seemed right.
Knowing Alicia valued sweet little gestures over an over-the-top affair, Jon left little note cards all around their apartment for a few days leading up to proposing. On a Saturday morning over scrambled eggs, Jon handed Alicia one final card, asking her to be his wife. Simple, sweet, and meaningful – with the promise of hundreds of Saturday morning scrambled egg breakfasts to come. Because theirs is an every day kind of love.
Jon & Alicia, thank you so much for welcoming me into your beautiful city! I loved walking along the New York City skyline getting to know you both better, and can’t thank you enough for braving the cold with such genuine smiles on your faces! I absolutely cannot wait for all that’s in store for your Farm at Eagles Ridge Wedding with The JDK Group… I have no doubt it will be nothing short of amazing! Xo
