She was new to Georgia. She had just moved there and was finally settling into her new life. She immediately got connected in a great church; involving herself in its leadership and ministering to girls in a small group. When a guy sitting next to her one Sunday asked to borrow a pencil, they got to talking — although Chelsea and Aaron’s first interaction was pleasant, it was brief.

Fast forward a bit and Aaron is sitting in Starbucks when he overhears a conversation from a nearby table. A few girls are chit-chatting away, when suddenly the conversation turns and they speak of this Godly woman who had reached out to them, ministered to them, made a difference in their lives, and touched their hearts with her compassion. On and on they raved, Aaron straining to hear who they spoke of… Chelsea.

Fast forward some more and you find Aaron and Chelsea connecting on a deeper level and growing to adore each other. They had developed a beautiful friendship and Aaron knew after only a few dates that Chelsea was the one that God had chosen and was preparing to be his wife.

Chelsea found in Aaron everything she’d prayed for in a husband: compassion, warm hospitality, and a heart for the Lord that encouraged and challenged her. It was a year or so later that he took her hand and led her through a Christmas tree farm, complete with lights strung all around and pictures of their various dates hanging from the tree branches. It was a moment they both had anticipated as Aaron got down on one knee, and Chelsea said yes to forever. Together.

There are so many things I could say about this day. So many ways I could rave of how powerful and beautiful it truly was, but words fail me. Aaron + Chelsea, it was such an honor and joy to be a part of your perfect day and I can’t thank you enough for your love and trust. I hope you enjoy a few of my favorites from your day!
