It was while on a guy’s snowboarding trip to Colorado that they met in passing… she was living in Denver at the time when they were introduced through a mutual friend. But it wasn’t until years later that they reconnected, and this time… something sparked.

In Jay’s words “She is the most caring person I know. She always puts others first, often to the detriment of herself. She is generous and makes me feel loved beyond words. Lastly, I appreciate how outgoing she is and how she challenges me to live life to the fullest.”

As fate would have it, Mandy found herself falling for Jay right back. His kind heart, patience, ability to make her laugh no matter the situation, work ethic, and love for his family… she was sold.

On vacation together in Vancouver, Jay insisted on doing a very advanced hike. Like the straight up a mountain, down the back side, and straight up another mountain kind of hike. As they reached the very top of Crown Mountain, just the two of them overlooking the clearest skyline of Vancouver below, Jay proposed to the girl of his dreams. It was an obvious yes. :)
