They met through having the same group of close-knit friends… Lancaster is great that way. And before a year of dating had even passed, they knew without a shadow of doubt that this was it… together is where they were meant to spend the rest of their lives.
It was the Sunday morning of Zach’s brother’s wedding anniversary that Zach told Lindsey his brother had decorated their family’s historic Spring House down in the meadow for a romantic dinner celebration and to help him out, they’d need to stop by to light the fire on the way to church so it could warm up. Lindsey unsuspectingly went along with Zach’s proposal coverup plan, thinking nothing of it… until Zach popped back out of the house & said he needed help with the fire.
Zach spent a year serving in Afghanistan… and according to Lindsey, she knew there was no way he would need HELP making a fire! She thought about it for a second as she got out of the car, but quickly dismissed her high hopes for a proposal any time too soon…
So as she walked into the center of room towards the big stone fireplace, she noticed a hundred candles in glass cylinders twinkling around the entire room. Her genuine reaction? “Wow, I am really surprised Lucas would do something like this!”
But as she looked up, her eyes met Zach’s and she could see the nervousness in his face… he grinned back at her, got down on one knee, and asked her to marry him! Then laughed as he took the true credit he deserved for all of the hard work that surrounded them.
Zach & Lindsey, I can’t waaaait for you November 11th Historic Acres of Hershey wedding! The countdown is on! Xoxo
