It literally feels like just yesterday I was announcing this huge dream turned reality I’d been working so hard on behind the scenes… and as I sit here reflecting on my first workshop that’s come and gone I’m really just overwhelmed in gratitude. There’s no other way of saying it.

Hosting this workshop was the most incredibly exciting and humbling experience. I’ll never forget this day, the beautiful hearts that shared in it, and the feeling of support surrounding me. I’ve heard it said before “No one succeeds without the help of others.” (Jay Abraham) and that thought has defined both my business journey and all that it took to make this day happen. I wish there was a way to communicate how full my heart has been as I’ve prepared for this day, remembering every step of my journey. I think back to that fourteen year old girl who photographed her first wedding… not knowing what God had in store, then remember every person that has come alongside me to believe, encourage, and invest in me along the way and I honestly get emotional every time. Haha. I really believe there is no such thing as a self made person, and to now have had the opportunity to give back and pour into the incredible women that joined me in this day was surreal and humbling in the best way possible. To share my journey and encourage theirs was a true joy and honor.

By the end of the night, we felt like a little workshop family and I didn’t ever want to say goodbye! This day was about so much more than business strategies and photography technicalities – and for that, I am so grateful!

When I got a chance to look at my phone for the first time late that night after everything had been torn down and swept clean I had quite literally dozens and dozens and dozens of comments and texts waiting for me from all the amazing people cheering me on and praying me through this entire experience. My heart.

Today, it’s with lots of joy and a whole lot of sappiness that I share this day I’ll never forget! A HUGE thank you to Stacey for being there to shoot these behind the scenes. She was the very first photographer I ever mentored so it was extra special to have her there!

There is no space I felt more confident welcoming these girls into than Hingework. There is so much heart behind this space and I was honored to host my workshop in an atmosphere I knew they would feel safe and at home in!

Parris Chic Boutique of course killed it with the custom calligraphy. And a special thank you to Treasured Events for supplying the beautiful rental pieces!

After having a delicious lunch catered by Chipotle (of course… told you), we had the opportunity to photograph the dreaaaamiest styled shoot designed by the talented Kortney Cooper Dowell. Kortney, I can’t thank you enough for pouring your heart into pulling it off! Judging by this photo, I think it’s safe to say the girls were pleased with the result… :)

Jonny & Bree were our beautiful models and THE HAPPIEST couple you ever did see. Oh my goodness just you wait until I can share the styled shoot!

Wendy spent her BIRTHDAY with us so of course we had to celebrate with macaroons and a take home cake made by my amazing past bride, Karis!

The rest of the day held more teaching. And laughing.

… But I *guess* all good things have to come to an end. 10:30pm came too quickly!!
