They always ate their meals at the same big shared table in college… “strictly friends.” It was a part of their routine… sitting across from each other with their friend group surrounding them. It wasn’t until the Halloween Dance their sophomore year at F&M that everyone finally had their suspicions confirmed all along… Morgan & Miranda were meant to be.

From that point on, they never wavered. Through three years of dating in college, then long-distance for nearly FIVE: their relationship grew and was strengthened through it all.

On Tuesday, June 6th, Miranda’s dad texted her and asked if she’d go to dinner with him in Georgetown after his meetings that coming Thursday. A fairly normal request for him, Miranda thought nothing of it. He made a reservation at a restaurant on the Georgetown waterfront at 7:30 pm, but Miranda, being more familiar with the city, complained to Morgan that this was *too late and hard to navigate to at rush hour without public transportation.* Somehow Morgan talked her into keeping the date.

When she arrived at the waterfront, her dad was no where in sight… it was Morgan all along! They took a walk down the pier and found a quiet spot… where he asked her to marry him!
