As the only girl in her college English class, Brittany carried herself with her sweet, gentle spirit – never the one to demand attention or feel the need to add her comment to every conversation. Michael, though friendly and typically outgoing, suppressed his feelings for her for quite some time, thinking she couldn’t possibly feel the same about him as he did about her. The following year, they would say hello to each other in passing, but it wasn’t until Michael asked Brittany for her number that he finally made his affections known – telling her shortly after she was the prettiest girl he had ever seen.

When Michael asked Brittany to be his girlfriend, he surprised her by taking her to a park at night with a fire and s’mores. While she was on her way to meet him, teenagers stole the fire pit where he had everything set up. In a desperate attempt to save this perfectly planned evening, Michael’s friends told the kids that he was going to propose, so they needed to reserve the spot. The kids happily cleared out, yet hid in their cars anxiously awaiting the proposal that was sure to unfold. Knowing this, after Michael asked Brittany to be his girlfriend, he got down on one knee and faked a proposal, too… to which all the teenagers got out of their cars, cheering and beeping their horns in excitement for this newly “engaged” couple. ;)

It was while on vacation with her family on Anna Maria Island that Michael asked Brittany to go on a walk on the beach, read her a letter, then got done on one knee for the second time in their relationship. ;) This time, asking her to make him the luckiest man in the world by becoming his wife.

Michael + Brittany! I’ve loved getting to know you two over the last few months! It was so fun to finally meet in person and let you show me around Pittsburgh!
