They met in 2014 through mutual friends. She was extremely guarded, not even close to letting anyone into her life… until Mark came along. From the moment Allison met him, she was drawn to him… he was patient, understanding, and something about him just made her feel safe.

They talked about marriage a lot during the first year of dating… one of those things that just felt right from the start. It was while in Philadelphia for a little Christmas getaway that Mark planned to ask Allison to marry him. After dinner, they bundled up to go iceskating. As they passed the Christmas tree on their way to the ice rink, Mark stopped and turned to her… “Allison Catherine Mahoney, I want you to know you’re my very best friend…” the rest was a blur and before she knew it Mark was down on one knee with the sparkliest ring in his hand. An easy YES!
