Maaaybe I’m biased, but there really was something extra special about this day. Truely is my cousin (but really, more of a big sister!) and though there’s not many people I’d agree to be both a bridesmaid and a photographer for, when Josh and Truely asked, it was a 100% no brainer answer… they deserve it all.

And so, on September 5th, 2016 what felt like all of Lancaster County gathered atop the rolling hillsides of this land we love. With both of their childhood homes in sight, Josh and Truely made vows to love and to cherish. To live out the rest of their days serving each other and serving Jesus. As the sun shown down on over 350 of their dearest friends and family there to support them through whatever may come, the presence and joy of Jesus was so evident, pouring out blessings on Josh & Truely as they made this sacred commitment.

It was a day filled to the brim with rejoicing, one that truly felt like a little slice of what heaven may feel like. Surrounded in genuine love, bountiful feasting, and pure celebration.

I spent the majority of this day obnoxiously squealing behind my camera, bragging because I got to spend more time with them than anyone else, and praising Jesus for His goodness in blessing this day beyond measure. People asked me so often leading up to Josh & Truely’s wedding, “But how are you going to shoot it AND be a bridesmaid?” And the answer was simple. A great team. I cannot thank Mark and Olivia enough for being there all day, capturing everything to perfection! Because of them, I could be present in the big moments (aaaand on the dance floor). Could not have done it without them, no question. I am so grateful for talented friends I could 100% trust in to capture a day so special to our family! And another huge thank you to Treasured Events for keeping the day running smoothly and making sure every little detail came together seamlessly – my angels!

Josh and Truely, you’re so loved. I am so confident your marriage will be a light that shines so strongly and loves others in beautiful ways because that’s just who you are when you’re together. You see potential in anyone and make them believe in their God-given gifts. You value and treasure others no matter what they offer in return. You live a life passionately for Jesus and make the people around you want to do the same. Truely, I’m so thankful to have the example I do in you and JOSH we’re so happy you’re officially a part of the fam. It’s abouuuut time!
