It’s hard to describe the abundant joy that permeated this day. Lexi and John both serve in the military (Lexi stationed in Germany and John in Italy), so with the help of their families, they planned their entire wedding remotely. Lexi bought her dress at a little bridal boutique in Germany, FaceTiming her mom so she could be a part of that special moment as Lexi tried on and purchased the wedding dress of her dreams.

Both John & Lexi come from incredible families, where their homes were filled with so much love growing up. Their families mean the world to them, yet they were only able to introduce them to each other the day before the wedding.

And yet, if I didn’t know any better, I wouldn’t have known who belonged on which side. That’s how united these families were, and it was such a testament to the bond of the body of Christ in relationships! Both the Fueyo and Salmon families love the Lord with all of their hearts, so to rejoice with them in this day was so beautiful. Though John & Lexi will spend this first season of their marriage apart, stationed separately on different continents, there is no greater hope or reassurance than knowing that God will carry them through every moment and fill them with strength.

This wedding was filled with so many heartfelt moments (not to mention a surprise flash mob!) and has left me feeling so overwhelmed in gratitude for those who sacrifice so much to protect our freedom. Thank you, John & Lexi, for serving our country with bravery and selflessness, and for welcoming me into a day that holds such significant meaning. I adore your families more than I can express, and feel so honored to have documented this day! My prayers are with you as you continue to serve our country, and now begin this new journey as husband and wife! Xoxo
