She sat in the front church pew on her brother’s wedding day as the prelude music played softly on the organ. Straggling guests slipped into the back of the sanctuary as the final minutes drew near until the wedding processional would begin. By chance, right before the ceremony started she spun around in her seat to face the back of the church — locking eyes with a guy she didn’t recognize as he walked through the chapel doors. They still blush now recalling the moment their eyes met, describing the deep connection they felt in that fleeting moment, even from across an entire room. It was love at first sight, pure and simple.

Just two days after the wedding they went on their first date, and within three months it was clear to both of them that this was it. They were each other’s soul mates. Cody loved Gina for a million reasons, but what truly captivated him most was her genuine heart and nurturing spirit. And the feeling was mutual — Gina loved the way Cody treated her and made her feel so special. She noticed specific things about Cody’s character that reminded her of her own dad… everything she’d wanted in a husband.

It was later the following summer that Cody took Gina out for a casual date, requesting to blindfold her after their meal while he drove her to one final destination. As they arrived and Cody led Gina inside the same chapel where their love began, he took off her blindfold revealing the aisle lit with rows of candles and rose petals, leading a path to the pew where Gina sat nearly a year before when she laid eyes on the man she’d one day marry.

Cody + Gina! You guys… your story… your warm personalities… your contagious joy… your love for the Lord… I just adore everything about you two and couldn’t be happier to be the one to document your wedding! THANK YOU for making the trip to Lancaster and braving the cold with such happy smiles on your faces! I can’t wait for all the joy (and sunshine! ;) in store for August 23rd, 2014!
