They met when they were eight years old at summer camp. They were each other’s first kiss. Forever the best of friends and eventually high school sweethearts… now finally they’ll claim their best title of all come October 13th… HUSBAND & WIFE. <3
One weekend, Eric planned a surprise trip for Rachel. Without any idea of what was in store, she was picked up from work on Friday and whisked away to a mystery location. They arrived in a small town called Jim Thorpe and Eric had the whole weekend planned, dinner reservations and all. Knowing autumn is her favorite season, he chose the town because it was having a Fall Foliage Festival that weekend. After a day full of hiking around waterfalls, exploring and shopping around town, and soaking in the beauty of fall… they headed towards their dinner reservation. It was there in the restaurant after dinner that he asked the love of his life to marry him AND revealed that their best friend (who went to camp with them as kids so long ago) had been following them around all day, taking pictures as it all unfolded. And right then? I’m pretty sure Eric won himself some premature HUSBAND POINTS.
If you’re lucky enough to spend time in Eric & Rachel’s presence, you know how easy going they are and it’s clear how deeply they care both for each other and for those in their life. They are soul mates through and through and I couldn’t be more excited to document their stunning Excelsior wedding this fall! Because they equally loved The Farm at Eagles Ridge when choosing a venue, we photographed their engagement session there. And every time I love it more! Enjoy! Xo
